As I look out my window right now, the temperature sure isnt hot, but the Haddock bite is!
Iv'e just gotten word from some friends that are commercial fishermen and the report is that Haddock fishing is off the hook! They say that the average fish this year is waaaay bigger than they have seen in years, and they have been filling the boat in record time. Now Im really eager to get out there. Just a few more days and Akula will be in the water and ready to go!

Our 2010 season is just days away
Id like to officially introduce the newest addition to the Green Harbor fishing fleet, Crimson Tide Charters. This year we will be introducing our new boat, a beautiful super fast 35' Duffy- built specifically to target Blue Fin Tuna. The cockpit is absolutely massive so everyone in your party will have ample room to fish at the same time. And with a 24 knot cruise speed, expect to reach stellwagen bank in just 45 minutes.
We will be catching all that Mass Bay has to offer- Cod, Haddock, Pollack, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Sharks, Mackerel and primarily TUNA!
Last season as many of you may have read in my reports, the Tuna fishing was nothing short of spectacular with successful catches on nearly every trip well into November, and with the addition of this new vessel we only expect it to get better as we try to shatter last years records.
We expect to launch the Duffy next week, and will begin running our trips by the second week of March. Since Cod season doesn't officially open until April 15th, we will primarily be targeting Haddock on stellwagen Bank and beyond until the Cod season begins. Although we cannot legally retain Cod until April 15th, you can definitely expect to catch then while on these Haddock trips- and this time of year they are usually BIG! At least you can take a picture with your trophy Cod before safely releasing it.
Crimson Tide Charters is running an early season special- Anyone who books a trip prior to April 15th will receive 10% off the cost of the charter. This means a savings of up to $140. Your trip can be scheduled for anytime through out the season, but must be booked before April 15th for the reduced rate.
Crimson Tide Charters will also be available for our local tournament, run by the Boston Big Game Fishing Club- The Oak Bluffs Monster Shark Tournament where Capt Fred and his crew placed in the top 3 in 2009, and the South Shore Tuna Tournament. Please call for tournament pricing and availability.
